Yup, this is me….

and a group of the friendliest waitresses that I have ever met, and yes, I do mean you ladies from Hooters® in Corpus Christi, Texas. (At least those I met on October 27th, 2004)

I guess I really do need to say a little about my self now.

So, I’m in my mid to late 30’s, yes that means I was born in the 70’s, though only just… it was July 1979, and happened in Kingston, Ont. Canada. I don’t remember much of the early years, except moving around a few times, and living in a town so small it only had 11 houses. My parents split up when I was 6 or 7, but that did help me get a stepmother and stepfather (and 2 Christmases and other holidays later on!!).

Somehow I ended up in Yarmouth, NS right around the time I hit double digits. Now, Yarmouth was a good place to grow up, as it wasn’t very big… but it was about as far from real civilization as anyone could image. I managed to complete all my schooling here, and also spent 7 good years as a member of the 299 Yarmouth Lions Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, through which I got my licence to fly gliders and small aircraft.

Next, I ventured over to Saint John, NB, to attend college and move out into the working world. I did have to run the regular gauntlet of working in fast food and retail, before landing a contact centre job doing remote support for computer hardware and software. Lucky for me it was a rather large company that is involved in the hospitality business, and it didn’t take long for them to put me on the road, hoping all over the United States and Canada doing upgrades. I have since changed jobs, but am still in IT.

I also managed to land me a decent wife, that I met as an instructor at one of the local Cadet corps, and we’ve been married since the fall of 2003 (yup, got hitched early). We’re in our 2nd home now, located in Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, just outside of Saint John, where we live with our 2 cats and 1 Dachshund.
